Cicloclassico Puccini – Bike Ride

Bike ride through the places of Giacomo Puccini: Lucca, Pescaglia, Viareggio, Torre del Lago.

A journey immersed in nature, through landscapes, villas and evocative atmospheres, through the places that inspired Giacomo Puccini, accompanied by the arias and suggestions of the great composer from Lucca.

The bike ride is part of the two-day event, scheduled for 1 and 2 April, organised by Puccini Experience to promote the territory of the province of Lucca by cycling among Puccini’s favourite places.

Saturday 1 April 

Departing from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. from Piazza del Giglio in Lucca to Massacciucoli, and from Piazza Puccini in Viareggio to Torre del Lago and back.visits to the Puccini Museum in Lucca, Museo Pucciniano in Celle, and Villa Museo Puccini in Torre del Lago with reduced entrance fees reserved for participants, and a rich programme for a weekend in the open air riding together with professional sportsmen from the area.

Sunday 2 April

Start for the general public from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. from Piazza del Giglio in Lucca to Massacciucoli, and from Piazza Puccini in Viareggio to Torre del Lago and back.the unofficial start of the race in Celle di Pescaglia to ideally connect all four territories that will be involved in the 2024 celebrations of the Maestro.

Flat route mostly on dirt roads in good condition or with little traffic. All types of bicycles are allowed on the cycle tour, for young and old.

Three routes of 14, 22 and 53 kilometres.
