Karaoke challenge: countdown to the Dulcinea festival

Aspiring singers from Lucca and beyond will have a hard time. On Thursday, March 9, the first edition of the karaoke competition, Festival Dulcinea, will take place at the Dulcinea restaurant pastry shop in via Pesciatina in Lunata, organized by Mirko Lucchesi, owner of the venue.

The registration must be presented to Dulcinea. The form specifically prepared by the organization, duly completed in all its parts, must be delivered together with the payment of the registration fee of 10 euros for each competitor (the fee remains unchanged also for duos, etc.). Competitors will also be able to register for a competition that has already started.

The competition will take place on three selection dates, March 9, 16 and 23, during which the competitors will be able to access the final with a preliminary round of 1 out of 5. The vote will be cast on these evenings by a popular jury made up of a juror chosen by each singer in the competition. The judge called to express his impartial judgment will be able to vote for all the other competitors, except for the singer who has chosen him. At the end of the evening, a prize will be awarded for the first place.

The elimination of 1 out of 5 in the selection competitions will not take place if a sufficient number of entries is not reached, in this case, all the competitors will go directly to the final on March 30, without prejudice to the assignment of a prize made available by the Dulcinea for the winner of the respective evenings.

The competition will end with the final on Thursday 30 March during which the competitors in the competition, in addition to the popular jury, will be evaluated by a quality jury composed of: Claudio Polizzi, musician of the Boccherini Conservatory; Eliana Bonaccorsi, soprano; Alfredo Lencioni, professional drummer and 2 other components to be confirmed.

The final evening will be conducted by the presenter, singer, entertainer Cesare Martini, in collaboration with Michele Castiglia, the latter also in charge of the musical part and the execution of the karaoke backing tracks requested by the competitors for all the scheduled evenings.

The winners (first, second and third place) will be awarded cups and rich prizes offered by the restaurant owner, while all the other participants will be given consolation prizes and souvenir medals.
