Lucca Social Arts Fair

May 27 @ 2:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Creativity. Communication. Inclusion.

Among the objectives of this event, in addition to giving space to different realities than usual, there is that of showing how art and culture can positively influence not only the lives of people without specific problems, but above all those who experience major daily problems of communication and sociality.

To this end, four different activities were chosen to be included in the event programme, including some developed by the association over the last few years.

Food & Fantasy: creative cooking workshops for children aged 3 to 10. The purpose of these workshops is to develop divergent thinking through the use of the five senses, to socialize by learning to work in a team and to approach the various creative disciplines in a totally new and different way, through cooking (storytelling, comics, poetry, painting and many others).

Augmentative-Alternative Communication (A.C.A.). Through the interventions of Dr. Michela Silvestri, Psychologist for Childhood, Parenting, Adolescence, Disability, we will deepen this type of communication. The CAA it is the whole set of strategies, tools and techniques implemented in the clinical and domestic environment to guarantee communication to people who cannot express themselves verbally. But that’s not all: it is a language that has potential to be developed, as it can be used as a totally inclusive language.

Pastures Contemporary. Four short films that represent scenes of daily life in the town of Corsagna, from the point of view of the boys followed by Mercy, who experience physical and mental disabilities, who have found their autonomy in this small community. The purpose of these short films is to show how inclusion and communication help even the most fragile categories to find their space.

Behind the Nobel: interviews with seven Nobel laureates after their victory, by Emiliano Tognetti. The choice to present this book starts from the idea that, having reached the pinnacle of success, such as that of a Nobel Prize, life continues. A debate will be developed together with him on how the lives of Nobel laureates can change and on the social commitment that can derive from it.
