The Dance Meeting

The 2023 edition of the Dance Meeting will be held in May 12-20 and it will be absolutely packed with events.

This hotspot for dance events, created by AED in partnership with Comune di Lucca, Giglio Theatre and the Boccherini Conservatory of Music, will engage students, professionals and just amateurs from all over the world.

Participants will have the chance to take part in competitions, shows and master classes, and attend performances, photographic exhibitions and symposiums.

The Teatro del Giglio is the centre of the shows, exhibitions and competitions, but dance is the protagonist also in the squares, in the streets and shops of the city with “raids”, music and dance performances by the young musicians of the Istituto Musicale Boccherini with the dancers of Codarts Rotterdam. Every year over 1000 dancers attend the event as representatives of Italian and European schools.
