The Extraordinary Power of the Feminine

Solo show by Antonella Lucarella Masetti which presents 16 mixed media works on canvas, from 14 July to 12 August at Olio su Tavola, art gallery & restaurant.

Beauty as a refuge, as an antidote to anguish and death, through the representation of female identity. An apparent fragility that most often hides an extraordinary strength, the ability to weave multiple emotional plots at the same time: a thousand fils-rouges that intertwine over a lifetime. Women, their soul, their sexuality, that complex combination of spirituality and eroticism that characterizes them.

From this vision emerge female figures rescued from commodification and seriality, returned to solemnity and their extraordinary power of seduction.

An innate ability to unknowingly seduce with simple gestures and complicit looks, or with desired and constructed attitudes like a complex theatrical plot, through an earring which, with its delicate weaving, becomes the absolute protagonist of a face, or a dress that captures the scene as a mysterious artifice.
