“The Music of the Garden”

Appointment in the Garden, the great ‘party’ of Italian gardens is back on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June 2023. The event, born in accordance with the Rendez-vous aux jardins initiative, will take place simultaneously in over 20 European countries. See listing of participating gardens here.

THE SPIRIT OF THE INITIATIVE

The event, which aims to invite the general public to discover the surprising historical, artistic, botanical and landscape richness of Italian gardens, will be an opportunity to make normally closed gardens known to the public and to enrich the possibilities for using the gardens open regularly.

As in previous editions, there will be many players involved: gardeners, botanists, landscape architects, private owners and public managers, important foundations and associations with the aim of telling the universe of the garden, its fragility, its cultural and environmental relevance its importance to the well-being of individuals and the community. For this reason, the event will also offer the opportunity to inform the general public about the activities necessary to care for, restore and protect the gardens.
