Lucca Gustosa (Taste of Lucca)

A three-day event dedicated to the food and wine excellences of the area, including markets, tastings, demonstrations, exhibitions and meetings in the main squares of the historic center, with outstanding protagonists of Lucca cuisine: chef Cristiano Tomei of L’imbuto and Damiano Carrara, pastry chef of homonymous atelier.

Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 March
THE SQUARE OF TASTE
Tastings of excellent local products will take turns in Piazza Anfiteatro.
From the hills of Lucca The festival of Zuppa di Aquilea and the PAT miller soup, from Garfagnana the famous spelled soup prepared by the skilled hands of the cooks of the Garfagnana spelled consortium
Hill and mountain honey paired with cheeses and cured meats.

Sunday at 17:00 the art of the table with the carving demonstration by the chef decorator Claudio Menconi, guru of this kind of “tasty” decorations.

from 10:00 to 19:00 unusual pairings at Atelier Ricci.
High fashion, historic architecture and excellent products from the Lucca countryside in an exhibition with tastings and many surprises for the participants.

THE CULTURE OF TASTE
Food and its symbols are present in works and collections of the cultural heritage of the city of Lucca.
ART & FOOD: treasures to taste is a program of themed guided tours, conferences and moments of tasting and promotion of typical food and wine products of the area,
The guided tours program is organized by the Chamber of Commerce of North-West Tuscany, in collaboration with the trade associations and the Lucca Montecarlo Versilia Roads of Wine and Oil Association.

THE TASTE OF SMOKE
Manifatture Sigaro Toscano invites you to the Amici del Toscano Lounge Club, set up in the loggia of Palazzo Pretorio.
Two days of meetings, debates, culture and recreation.
In addition to showing the pride of a two-century work thanks to the presence of the cigar makers of the Lucca Manufacture, there will be opportunities to rewind and retrace the stories of the cigar and the city and to try the Tuscan cigar in all its combinations.

22nd edition for the event with 600 labels for tasting on a journey through the five provinces bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea, with the artistic direction of the Grandi Cru association of the Tuscan coast which this year hosts
