Lucca Art Fair

The Lucca Art Fair dedicated to modern and contemporary art and will occupy for three days the spaces and the frescoed halls of the prestigious historical building, welcoming numerous collectors, art lovers, and visitors from all over Italy (and beyond) that will live, that way, a new “artistic experience”: a journey into art starting from the beating heart of the city.

The monumental complex of Real Collegio, spread over two floors, will be a unique and

exclusive setting of a path between different artistic realities, where history and future

generations will dialogue with each other. In addition to the new venue there will be further innovations.

There will be four sections:

Main Section with the participation of many established galleries in the national and international panorama, to offer collectors an accurate selection of works ranging from modern, postwar, and contemporary art.

Art Projects will be a new section dedicated to projects and emerging galleries with an experimental profile that will mainly present solo and duo shows, placing in dialogue

artists from different backgrounds.

Independent, located at Real Collegio’s first floor, is dedicated to project spaces,

independent artists and curators collectives, independent spaces.

One of this edition’s proposals will be the Spotlight section, focused on the mid 19th

and early 20th century art, with a special feature dedicated to the “past contemporaries”. The section will host the first representations on life with Macchiaioli in particular to arrive at the historical Avantgardes of the beginning of the 20th century.

Finally Independent, the new section entirely dedicated to project spaces, artist

collectives, and curators, independent spaces.

Following last year’s positive experience, the online presence with Digital Art Week on

the T.O.E. Art Market platform. The digital fair, which will accompany the one in

presence, will host online Viewing Rooms and special focuses that will allow visitors to

discover, browse and ask questions on works selected by galleries and from the

curatorial board of the fair, allowing for more personal interaction and experience
