Vintage Books and Maps Exhibit

The annual appointment with Carta d ‘Epoca is renewed, the event dedicated to printing and ancient books, scheduled for Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October 2022 at the Agora Cultural Center, in Piazza dei Servi.

The event reaches its fifteenth edition this year, organized by the Municipality of Lucca with the collaboration of operators in the sector, in particular booksellers and print dealers. Housed in the beautiful setting of the Agorà Cultural Center, in the historic center of Lucca, Carta D’Epoca is presented to the public of enthusiasts and collectors, commercial operators in the sector and anyone who wants to see live prints of high value and interest.

This is an opportunity not to be missed, to discover fascinating publishing jewels and admire vintage prints. In fact, prestigious works will be exhibited by about 25 Italian exhibitors, antiquarian experts, specialized in vintage books and prints from all over Italy that make this appointment a staple in the antiquarian tradition of the city.

As part of the Carta d’Epoca, a collateral exhibition “Exhibition and technique of vintage cycles” will be set up., a collection made up of Italian and foreign cycles from the 1920s to 1959, all with rod brakes, both of the most prestigious and well-known brands and of artisanal brands but of undoubted collectible value; The common thread between the Cicli d’Epoca exhibition and the Carta D’Epoca exhibition will be the exhibition of the catalogs of the bikes on display with the support of the Historical Cycles Register. 

The exhibitions will be open on Saturday 15 October from 10.00 to 19.00 and Sunday 16 October from 9.00 to 18.00 in compliance with the existing COVID-19 containment measures.
