Archaeology in the Villa

In Lucca on Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June 2023 the National Museum of Villa Guinigi presents “Archaeology in the Villa” a series of workshops and guided tours for families included in the admission ticket, free for children.

Friday 16 and Saturday 17 June 2023 at 4.00 pm (duration 2 hours) From my point of view (from 7 years of age) Exploring the archaeological rooms, young visitors transform themselves into special guides to tell stories through a comparison with the objects we use today , the use of ancient finds. The little explorers will also make a guide for young and old.

Sunday 18 June at 4.00 pm (duration 2 hours) Little mosaicists… Great works (from 4 years of age) How is a mosaic born? What was it for? The children will be involved in an important undertaking: the creation of a mosaic by helping Tessellarius to complete his task.
