Tales of Mystery and Imagination
Dreams and experiences of the soul and memory: they are the inspiration and the theme for the abstract works of the artist Gudrun Schmidt. She would like to instigate
the imagination to browse, entice viewers to find their own meaning in the hidden layers and signs of her works.
All the works of the artist Gudrun Schmidt have as their main theme the storytelling, some in more obvious form, others with just more hints thin. Her main theme is ‘the hidden beneath the known’, stories in evolution, born from archetypes, dreams and the subconscious. These are stories of transformation, hero fights and glimpses of fairy tales and fairy tales set in a abstract context.
Artist Gudrun Schmidt presents a visual language with forms organic and abstract at the center of her work, given signs and symbols from intuition, dreams and mythology always present. The multiple layering it’s a signature of her work.
The visual artist Gudrun Schmidt is a painter who in addition to writing (last her book on creativity), she holds seminars to improve creativity of people. At the heart of her creativity is her abstract work of hers with mixed media, characterized by complex multilayer surfaces, often interspersed with collages with fragments of hand-made prints or papers.
‘Tell me a story – Tales of Mystery and Imagination’ is the third exhibition
solo artist in Lucca, exhibiting her work regularly e also internationally.

Her work will be on display at the Church of San Benedetto in Gottella in
Piazza Bernardini in Lucca from 28 April to 8 May 2022.
The inauguration will take place on April 28th at 6.00 pm.
On May 5th at 6.30 pm there will be an evening of poetry reading by
Claudio Stefanini accompanied by the music of the classical guitarist Federico Pietroni.
