Festa dell’Azalea

Borgo a Mozzano is preparing to set up the biennial azalea 2023 market exhibition in the best possible way, the historic festival that will take place in the town of the Ponte del Diavolo.

Around the sixties the Centro Studi Agricoli had noticed, after a survey made in the Borgo a Mozzano area, that in every house and in every courtyard there were numerous Azalea plants that developed and reproduced spontaneously and with great ease throughout the territory. In 2006 the event returned to being an annual appointment. The “Festa dell’Azalea” has now become the emblem of Borgo a Mozzano and is known throughout the country.

The event will animate the historic center for two days: flower growers, exhibitors of agricultural machinery, gardening, cars, motorcycles and bicycles, food, merchandise, handicrafts, typical products, antiques, vintage, hobbyists and associations.

The municipality of Borgo a Mozzano is located in the Serchio Valley about twenty kilometers from the city of Lucca
