By “Renaissance” or “Renascent” we define those moments or rather those epochs in which we pass from a dark period without stimuli to the desire for life, reactivating men’s mental process, with the exaltation of creativity and beauty passing through art.
All the Royals loved to have parties that attracted a large number of guests, arousing their interest and stimulation; Elisa Buonaparte herself did not disdain to amplify this habit by sharing her “subjects” and using avant-garde artistic devices.
Villa Reale in Marlia is the perfect home to revive art and stimulate new creativity, hosting and at the same time exalting with its scenery a real party of the Renaissance.
For more than 10 years Kreativa – d’arte e dintorni – has promoted art in all its forms in Lucca. The content of its “open box” has grown, so necessity and pleasure have given way to this project: The Renaissance.
It’s time to unveil the secret of this event, an opportunity that is not the simple revival of an era but LIVING now the pleasure of artistic rebirth. A mixture of beauty, of the past but also of the future, of creativity and emotional and intellectual impression: every visitor will find himself immersed in many artistic worlds and will be able to freely choose his path within the park.

ACCESS is allowed ONLY WITH RESERVATION subject to availability.It is necessary to purchase the ticket by selecting the date and time of arrival
It will be possible to arrive WITHIN 45 minutes AFTER the booked time (example: if you book for 9, you can arrive from 9 to 9:45). It is necessary to respect these times in order to access the event.

IF IT RAINS?
There are no displacements of the event in case of RAIN . The exhibitions are indoor and the shows, in case of heavy rain, will be placed in more sheltered and covered places.

HOW CAN I ENTER?
The main ENTRANCE with adjoining ticket office is located in Via Fraga Alta in Marlia, Capannori (LU).
You can PARK for free along the tree-lined avenue that precedes the main entrance or at the parking lot renamed “2” which you can reach by continuing on and along the boundary wall of the park.
IF YOU HAVE A HANDICAP?
The park is ACCESSIBLE to the handicapped; the toilets are up to standard and with a regular platform. The few existing architectural barriers identified in the stairs can still be circumvented given the possibility of multiple accesses. The main avenues have been restored in architectural asphalt while the secondary ones are still gravel but the park is also accessible on the lawn if needed.
CAN I BRING MY PET?
Dogs led on a leash are WELCOME to the Park.
CAN I REFRESH INSIDE THE PARK?
Of course! There are marked REFRESHMENT POINTS in the park. A refreshment point to the NORTH and one to the SOUTH of the park allow them to be easily reached.
HOW LARGE IS THE PARK and HOW LONG DO I TAKE TO VISIT?
The park is 16 HECTARES large and the complete route is about 2 km – without events the visit takes about an hour, an hour and a half but for this occasion it would be ideal that you could take a little more time to experience all the arts and enjoy the surprises you will find along the way.
ARE THE LABORATORIES AND WORKSHOPS FREE AND HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
All workshops for both adults and children are FREE . It is sufficient to show up at the point marked on the map and at the time of the chosen workshop, the teachers will divide into work groups. The workshops will be present only at the daytime edition.
