Lucca Città di Carta is the creative and ideal “dress” of the union between paper and its history, between the world of books and publishing, between ancient and modern printing, between illustration and photography on paper.

With a double soul of cultural festival and, at the same time, publishing fair – beautifully divided between the two ancient floors of the Real Collegio di Lucca , setting of the event – perhaps the most correct definition for Lucca Città di Carta is MEETING OF CULTURE / E. _

Under the arcades and in the frescoed rooms steeped in history, the public can discover stories, books, meet and converse with authors, publishers, poets, famous people, try to print, make paper, participate in events, meetings, animated readings, to beautiful writing courses, to communication, photography and journalism workshops, to national awards; you can admire unique and original paper works, old printing presses, author’s books, paper objects, illustrations and much more.
