Lucca Comics and Games

It is more than a multidisciplinary festival: novella Enterprise, is a ship in exploration at the center of the convergence of contemporary languages. Comics, games, video games, cinema, TV and illustration make up a galaxy that LC&G travels through in every dimension, through events, projects, educational and participation initiatives.
EXHIBITIONS
For a long time, exhibitions have been a cornerstone of the cultural program of Lucca Comics & Games. Dedicated to the main Italian and international authors, they are housed in the imposing building of Palazzo Ducale, seat of the Province of Lucca, and in equally prestigious structures. This year the exhibitions will be held from October 15th to November 1st.
Admission will be free from 15 to 27 October. Thereafter, from 28 October to 1 November, access will be allowed only with the festival ticket.
Here are the brief introductions of the first five exhibitions of 2022. We invite you to deepen their contents by reading the relevant boxes.
Salani chooses Lucca Comics & Games to celebrate 160 years with the exhibition “POPSalani, 160 years of books, culture and imagination”. The exhibition traces the history of the publishing house founded by Adriano Salani in 1862, through the original drawings made for the volumes of the publishing house by the most important Italian and international illustrators.
The international comic artist celebrated in Italy and overseas Mirka Andolfo will be at the center of an exhibition that will celebrate her artistic journey: from her beginnings with webcomics to the stories, written and drawn, of Harley Queen.
Chris Riddell will be a guest at Lucca Comics & Games 2022 in collaboration with the Il Castoro publishing house and an exhibition will celebrate his extraordinary career: a cultured and witty character, author of over a hundred books, he is also an illustrator with a refined and detailed line, with which he manages to create original worlds and characters capable of making readers of all ages travel.
100 years after his birth (1922-2022) Lucca Comics & Games celebrates one of the greatest creatives of the 20th century, Alex Randolph: the career, the games and the message of the first recognized “game author” in history will be celebrated through a dense program of initiatives – including a large exhibition set up in the halls of Palazzo Ducale – in which numerous Masters of the Italian game will be involved.
John Blanche, the undisputed master of dystopian fantasy, demiurgic illustrator and art director for Game Workshop since 1984, will come to Italy to meet his fans and present “Voodoo Forest”, a legendary work in progress for more than ten years. For the occasion, a celebratory exhibition will be organizedFor each account it will be possible to purchase up to a maximum of 15 tickets: after the purchase it will not be possible to change the date or request a refund, but eventually you can put your ticket on sale through the dedicated Ticket resale area of the Vivaticket website (shop. vivaticket.com/it/handback).
The bracelets – necessary to enter the different areas of the festival – can be collected at the Welcome DESK by presenting the tickets and, in case of purchase of tickets for several days, they will be delivered all together on a single occasion. The possibility of accessing the “Skip the Welcome DESK” service is back (available only until 10 October): with an additional cost of € 9.99 it will be possible to receive the bracelets directly at home (for purchases made starting from 1 September ).

The price of reduced tickets and passes is equal to that of the early bird.
There is also no shortage of beloved subscriptions for Level UP Fans, in a limited edition: an opportunity to better enjoy the five days of Lucca Comics & Games 2022, with exclusive services and dedicated opportunities. This type of subscription, sold at a price of € 340.00 (+ 2.50 presale and any Vivaticket commissions), will allow you to participate in unique conditions on every day of the festival. From 1 to 5 September, Level UP Fans of previous editions will be able to purchase one of the 300 special season tickets on sale by pre-emption, using the code provided to them. Starting September 6, the purchase of Level UP subscriptions will be open to everyone. Among the services included: exclusive collectible badge and dedicated bracelet, welcome Bag, access to two reserved locations,
People with disabilities are entitled to a free ticket that can be collected, together with the reduced ticket for an accompanying person, at the dedicated Welcome Desks, which will be announced on the website in the coming weeks.
Free admission is also provided for children born after 01/01/2013 (who must always be accompanied) but does not require the collection of a dedicated free ticket or bracelet. In cases of doubt, the staff may request to show proof of age.
Group tickets (daily only) will also be available on the Vivaticket portal from 1 September to 10 October, which can be purchased in a “booklet” of 20 tickets (1 free for every 20 tickets purchased) with delivery of the bracelets by courier. The prices will be equal to those of the reduced daily days in addition to the cost of shipping of € 9.99.
As anticipated in July, special reductions related to initiatives such as the Bag of Lucca remain active: all those entitled will receive a code and will be able to purchase admission to the festival at a reduced price; the bracelets must be collected at the Welcome Desks.
