After a stellar 2022 which saw the band perform 73 shows in front of over 600,000 people across Europe, Simply Red today announce a series of European summer shows for 2023 which will also see them perform at the Lucca Summer Festival.
“Me and the band can’t wait to get back to Europe next summer to perform for you all. This tour is ALL about the groove. Get on down!” says Mick Hucknall.
Italian audiences will be able to hear all of their best-loved classics, including ‘Stars’, ‘Holding Back The Years’, ‘Fairground’ and ‘Money’s Too Tight To Mention’.
Mick Hucknall has been the songwriter and bandleader of Simply Red since their inception in 1985, aided by longtime saxophonist Ian Kirkham since 1986. The current line-up has been the same since 2003 and on this new tour he will play all of the group’s major hits.
