Presentation of “Quando la Musica è Donna”, by the musician ILARIA BIAGINI, author who proposes to highlight the importance of female figures in the history of blues, jazz and popular music through the editing of biographical anthology and the analysis of various aspects between them connected: from strictly musical to social, touching also inherent themes the specific problems of the female condition elaborated in particular from the 60s-70s and which can already be found in the blues sung by Ma Rainey and Bessie Smith in the early twentieth century.

The singer SARA MAGHELLI with her quartet formed by Ugo Bongianni on piano, Diego Piscitelli on double bass and Matteo Cidale on drums, will present her original project on Dorothy Fields, an American poet and lyricist who strongly marked jazz history with her compositions.

An all-feminine afternoon, to reason also about the current artistic and professional scenarios, often still riddled with discrimination and fewer opportunities.
