A couple of models, Carl and Yaya, goes on a luxury cruise with a bizarre group of super-rich and a commander with a penchant for booze and Karl Marx. Everything seems pleasant and perfect for Instagram at first, but a cataclysmic event turns the journey into an adventure where all hierarchy is turned upside down.

The Triangle of Sadness is the new film by Ruben Östlund, the one through which the Swedish director openly declares his political point of view on the world, and to some extent also on cinema. An amusing and irreverent work, which stages one of the most “extreme” sequences seen in competition at Cannes in recent years (the yacht at the mercy of the storm), and reminds us that it is the right and perhaps the duty of art not only to “take part”, but daring to the extreme» (Quinlan.it).
