Notte Bianca – White Night

After two years of darkness, the Notte Bianca returns to Lucca on August 27th the last Saturday of August.
The event, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary, is a party for the whole city: an event that in the past has attracted thousands of people to the historic center, representing an important driving force for tourism, but also for all the activities involved. in various ways in giving life to the event – from dance and music schools called to perform in some of the most evocative squares of the historic center to museums and shops.
Open museums, guided tours, initiatives for children and families, dance in the squares, music, concerts, special events with the highlight of midnight in Piazza San Martino, but also shops and restaurants open and DJ sets in the clubs. It is a very rich “menu” and, as always, aimed at a heterogeneous audience of all ages – from the smallest to the young, up to adults and more mature people – that of the White Night of Lucca, scheduled for Saturday 27 August within the Old Town.
But this year’s edition is the tenth anniversary after the first of 2012. There is a great desire to start again exactly where the White Night left off, for an event that in a few years ago it was able to become with its 70 – 80 thousand spectators the second in Lucca for the number of participants in a single day, behind only the highlight days of Lucca Comics & Games.
