The opera program, after having had its ideal start in June with Le Willis by Giacomo Puccini, a special non-subscription event created in collaboration with the Toscanini Festival of Parma, will resume its course in October, to unravel, from autumn, through a tribute dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with two titles from the Mozart trilogy –

The Marriage of Figaro, scheduled for Saturday 28 January at 20.30 and Sunday 29 January at 16.00 (staging of the Social Theater of Rovigo in co-production with the Goldoni Theaters of Livorno, Verdi of Pisa and Giglio di Lucca).

The Opera Season will end in 2023 with a fascinating baroque title: Il Tamerlano, or the death of Bajazet by Antonio Vivaldi, staged on Friday 17 February at 8.30 pm and Sunday 19 February at 4.00 pm, performed by the Byzantine Academy directed by Ottavio Dantone. The show, a new staging created by the Alighieri Theater in Ravenna, is a co-production with the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, in addition to the Municipal Theater of Piacenza, the I Theaters Foundation of Reggio Emilia and the Municipal Theater Pavarotti-Freni of Modena.
