Photo Exhibition “Stargate”

On Friday (28 October) at 10 am the exhibition Stargate – The circle and the light , a personal photographic exhibition by Tommaso Carmassi, curated by Ludovica Palmieri, will open to the public. Narrator by Umberto Binetti.

“The undisputed protagonist of the exhibition – reads the presentation – is the geometric shape of the circle , formed by light, which the artist interprets as a possible passage, stargate, towards another dimension. While working with a traditional camera, what Tommaso Carmassi proposes is not a vision of reality, but a sort of metaphysics of it. Through his works, in fact, he takes the viewer beyond what he can usually grasp with the naked eye, to transport him into a dimension made up of infinite possibilities. The exhibition therefore contains a high symbolic value, to the extent that the circle in itself represents a form full of meanings. Each work is connected to the others, through a game of links and references that finds its origin in the allegorical dimension of this primary form . The viewer is invited to immerse themselves and share the free vision of the artist made up of infinite possible worlds, from which everyone can draw, once the imaginary threshold is crossed, their own and intimate interpretation of reality “.

Tommaso Carmassi (Lucca, 1978, lives between Lucca and Rome), photographer, has toured Europe following artists and musicians of various kinds, works in the institutional, political and journalistic fields.

The exhibition will be open from Friday to Tuesday, from 10 to 18 in Piazza San Pietro Somaldi 10. Admission is free.
