Planet Earth Festival Lucca, 6-9 October 2022
We present the first edition of “Pianeta Terra Festival”, the event aimed at all those who want to explore our extraordinary common home and reflect on ways to preserve and inhabit it in a sustainable way. The event, entitled “A revolution for sustainability”, will be held from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 October 2022 in some of the most evocative buildings in Lucca, and will see the participation of exceptional national and international scholars in over 50 events.
During the 4 days of the festival we will talk about ecosystems, biodiversity, green finance, geopolitics of energy, agriculture and food, urban development, resources, sustainable mobility within and in the confrontation of new political, social, philosophical and artistic visions.
The city of Lucca will therefore become the ideal setting for listening to extraordinary stories of women and men engaged in the defense of the environment, of those who have made an important scientific contribution, of those who are still looking for answers and strategies, of those who know that knowledge it must continually translate into shared knowledge capable of modifying common sense.
The Planet Earth Festival is conceived, designed and organized by Editori Laterza with the scientific direction of Stefano Mancuso. Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca Foundation as promoter.
