Solemn Good Friday Procession, Mass and Way of the Cross

All brothers and sisters (including minors under 16 if accompanied by parents) are invited to participate in the penitential procession on Good Friday, the liturgical action in the cathedral and the way of the cross starting from Chiesa San Salvatore. It  will wind towards the church of S. Frediano, where it will end with the veneration of the relic of the Precious Blood.

The meeting is scheduled at 15:00 on Friday 15 April 2022 at the headquarters of the Archconfraternit

1) The penitential procession is by its norm a testimony of faith, prayer and penance, so you participate with a serious and respectful attitude.

2) Everyone will wear the black robe

3) The bearers of the Crucifix and the Company’s coat of arms will have bare feet. All the others, without exception, must wear dark trousers and black shoes.

Piazza S.Salvatore → Via Buia → via S.Andrea (sosta al crocifisso preghiera e recita del vexilla regis) → via S.Anastasio (sosta alla Chiesa di S.Giulia) → P.zza Bernardini → Via Roma  → Via Cenami (sosta alla Chiesa di S.Giusto) → piazza XX Settembre → Via Beccheria → piazza San Michele (sosta alla Chiesa di S.Michele) → via Calderia → piazza S.Salvatore, rientro in Chiesa.

P.zza S.Martino → P.zza S.Giovanni → Via del Duomo → Chiesa S.Giusto (sosta di preghiera) → P.zza XX Settembre → Via Cenami → ChiesaSan Michele (sosta di preghiera) → Via Calderia → Chiesa di San Salvatore in Mustolio (sosta di preghiera) → Via Cesare Bsttisti → Piazza San Frediano (sosta di meditazione sulla piazza San Frediano) ingresso in basilica dove sarà esposta la reliquia del preziosissimo sangue. Segue momento di preghiera e omelia dell’Arcivescovo, al termine benedizione e reposizione della reliquia
