SOUNDOUT JAZZ FESTIVAL

Two evenings of live jazz in July with leading exponents of the national scene in the eighteenth-century atmosphere of the garden of Palazzo Pfanner, in the heart of the historic center of Lucca.

Each musical performance of the SoundOut Jazz Festival is accompanied by a welcome drink and a tasting of finger food and champagne in the historic garden of the building, organized in small lounges to welcome the spectators.

Music, art and gastronomic excellence for a one-of-a-kind festival.

Wednesday 13 July
20:30 / 21:30 | Simone Alessandrini – Storytellers. Jazz-rock atmospheres and echoes of cultured music from the early 1900s between New Orleans and Europe.
Simone Alessandrini, alto sax, karaoke toy, guitar; Antonello Sorrentino, trumpet; Federico Pascucci, Turkish tenor sax and clarinet; Riccardo Gola, double bass and synth bass; Riccardo Gambatesa, drums.

10:30 pm / 11:30 pm | Furio Di Castri – Furious Mingus Revisited. A tribute to the great jazz player Charles Mingus, one hundred years after his birth, by one of the greatest double bass players in Italian jazz, accompanied by an exceptional quartet.
Furio Di Castri, double bass; Giovanni Falzone, trumpet; Achille Succi, alto sax, bass clarinet; Fabio Giachino, keyboards; Mattia Barbieri, drums.

Thursday 14 July
20:30 / 21:30 | Avoid Polidoro – Nerovivo. Experimental musical project based on the importance and choice of sound.
Avoid Polidoro, compositions, drums, vocals, electronics; Davide Strangio, voice and guitar; Nicolò Francesco Faraglia, guitar.
22:30 / 23:30 – MAT. Trio active since 2007, with important international collaborations. The album is a sound jet with extreme dynamics that keep you in suspense until the last note.
