White Carrara Marble Festival

Great excitement and enthusiasm at IMM-CarraraFiere for the preparation of  White Carrara,  scheduled this year from  Friday 10 to Sunday 19 June.
The cultural and promotion event of the Carrara area – included in the Carrara Unesco Creative City project since 2020 – is characterized by the enhancement and discovery of the city through installations, exhibitions, outdoor sculpture, artisan workshops open to the public, music, meetings , food and wine, guided cultural tours, shows and artistic performances.

The themes of  this year’s event will be, together with  marble ,  nature  in terms of beauty and sustainability and  peace,  an essential topic in the context of the complexity of the historical moment that the world is experiencing.

The evocative stage of the city will be that of its precious historic buildings, galleries and art shops, squares and significant public spaces. Piazza Alberica  in the days of White will be characterized by a strong appeal to nature and greenery.
The stages planned for the  Marble Café initiatives  will be those of the Garden of Palazzo Binelli and the  Palco della Musica where the inauguration and presentation of the event will be held on Friday 10 June at 9.00 pm  in the presence of the various institutional representatives.
Among the most popular events by the public, confirmed the  “Cultural Walks”  to discover the historic center and the guided visits  to the Academy of Fine Arts.
At the Academy there will also be the hand sculpture event  “Lessons en Plein Air”  with students who carve their own works “live” giving the opportunity to visitors to try their hand at hammer and chisel in the noble art of sculpture. The collaboration with Studi Aperti has also been confirmed,   which will allow visitors to White Carrara to visit the artistic workshops where the craftsmen create their works.
